ABOUT HEALTH ALLIANCE FOR AUSTIN MUSICIANS (HAAM)

Health Alliance for Austin Musicians provides access to affordable healthcare to Austin’s low-income, uninsured working musicians with a focus on prevention and wellness. Since HAAM’s 2005 start, more than 3,500 of the city’s hard-working musicians have been served with access to regular, cost-effective healthcare services.  Every dollar donated to HAAM is leveraged into $7 of direct healthcare services to HAAM musicians through the support of HAAM’s affiliate Service Providers.  Primary Medical Care is provided through Seton Healthcare Family and their Seton Clinics where HAAM musicians have a medical home with a primary care physician. The St. David’s Foundation funds HAAM’s dental program which is administered in partnership with the Capital Area Dental Foundation through private dentists throughout the city.   hHearing health services include quarterly hearing screenings and custom earplugs and are provided through a partnership with Estes Audiology.  Vision screenings and access to free eyeglasses are provided by Prevent Blindness Texas.  Music, business and the community have united behind a great cause: keeping music in Austin alive and well.
