Diana Krall has announced eleven additional dates for the U.S. leg of her 'Glad Rag Doll World Tour' beginning April 2013 and will include a stop at Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater on May 7th.
This leg follows a six-week European tour, which was heralded as "heart-stopping" (The Times) and "brimming with innovation" (Evening Standard).
'Glad Rag Doll' (Verve), released in September, marked Krall's fifth consecutive Top 10 debut on the Billboard 200. Diana Krall’s extraordinary new album, ‘Glad Rag Doll’ is an exhilarating and adventurous exploration of new sounds, new instrumentation and new musicians. It stars a singer and piano player, filled with mischief, humor and a renewed sense of tenderness and intimacy. The record reveals itself at the remarkable vanishing point in time where all music; swinging, rocking and taboo, collide with songs of longing, solace and regret. All are made new again in a vaudeville of Krall’s own imaging. It is at once a major departure and a natural progression for the gifted musician. Diana simply calls the album, “a song and dance record."
